Sebago Metal Fabrication in Casco, Maine is seeking Welder Fabricators to
add to our growing team!
Our residential fabrication company needs an experienced Welder to join our
team. We’re looking for a hardworking professional who enjoys meeting challenges
and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background
in residential aluminum welding techniques (TIG & MIG), and will be willing
to work in-house to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. Some
projects might require work outside normal working hours, to meet critical deadlines,
but we pay overtime for this effort. We’re looking for a long-term candidate
who is looking for a secure and rewarding form of employment.
Responsiblities and Duties
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions
and diagrams to perform task at hand
Perform MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needs
Use a wide variety of metal working equipment, such as a band saw, bender,
plasma cutter, mig, tig, and stick welders, as well as basic hand tools
and metal finishing tools.
Onsite install welds, including docks, gangways, stairs, railings, truck
beds, metal sheeting and other parts
Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project
Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma/GED preferred
2+ years’ experience operating as a commercial welder
Current and valid certification a plus
Experience working in onsite fabrication & welding facilities and
with power tools
Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
