Dock Installation in Maine — From the Manufacturer Itself

We do not just sell docks. We engineer, manufacture, and install them. 30 years of professional dock installation across Maine — from Sebago Lake to Moosehead, from Long Lake to Belgrade. PE stamp valid in 49 states.

Why You Should Buy from the Manufacturer Who Installs

Most dock installations in Maine involve at least three parties: the manufacturer who built the dock, the distributor who sold it, and the installer who put it in. Each handoff creates room for problems — wrong specifications, missing parts, installation that does not match the engineered design.

When you buy a Sebago Dock & Lift dock, you are working with one company from start to finish. The same team that engineered your dock manufactures it in our Naples, Maine facility. The same team that manufactured it installs it on your shoreline. No handoffs. No miscommunication. No fingers pointed when something needs adjustment.

This single-source model is also why our PE stamp matters. The engineering certification is only valid if the dock is installed to the same specifications it was engineered to. With us, that is guaranteed because we control the entire process.

Where We Install — Maine Lakes and Coast

We install across Maine and into New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Here is where we work most often:

  • Sebago Lake (Naples, Standish, Casco, Raymond, Bridgton)

  • Long Lake (Harrison, Bridgton, Naples)

  • Thompson Lake (Oxford, Otisfield, Casco)

  • Watchic Lake (Standish)

  • Panther Pond (Raymond)

  • Moosehead Lake (Greenville, Rockwood)

  • Belgrade Lakes (Belgrade, Rome, Mount Vernon)

  • Rangeley Lakes (Rangeley, Oquossoc)

  • Coastal Maine (York, Kennebunkport, Camden, Bar Harbor)

  • Across the border into Lake Winnipesaukee NH and Cape Cod MA

Our Installation Process — From Quote to Splash

Step 1: Site Visit and Measurement

We visit your property to evaluate the shoreline, water depth, slope, ice patterns, and intended use. This visit is what makes the engineering possible — and what separates us from manufacturers who never see your property.

Step 2: Engineering and Quote

Based on the site visit, we engineer the dock specifically for your shoreline. The PE stamp covers the engineered design. The quote includes manufacturing, delivery, and professional installation — no separate contractors.

Step 3: Manufacturing

Once you approve the quote, we manufacture your dock in our Naples, Maine facility using 11 proprietary aluminum extrusion dies developed in-house over 30 years. Manufacturing typically takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on season and project size.

Step 4: Delivery and Installation

We deliver and install. The same team that manufactured your dock makes sure it is installed to the engineered specifications. Most residential installations take 1 to 3 days. Commercial and municipal projects vary based on scope.

Step 5: Walkthrough and Documentation

We walk through the completed dock with you, hand over the PE stamp documentation, explain the maintenance (which is minimal), and answer any questions. The PE-stamped paperwork goes to you for permits, insurance, and resale records.

Best Time to Schedule Your Maine Dock Installation

Spring and early summer are our busiest installation periods. Most homeowners want their dock in place by Memorial Day weekend. Working backward from there, we recommend getting your quote and engineering done in winter — December through March — to lock in a spring installation date.

Summer installations (June through August) are possible but tend to be later in the season. Fall installations (September through November) are an underused window — fewer scheduling conflicts, lower water levels make installation easier, and you are ready to splash early next spring.

Winter dock removal and storage is a separate service we offer for clients who want their docks pulled before ice-up. Reach out for details on our seasonal removal program.

What Happens on Installation Day

Most clients have never seen a professional aluminum dock installation. Here is what to expect:

  • Crew arrival between 7:30 and 9:00 AM with all equipment and dock components

  • Site protection — we lay protection over lawn and shoreline access paths

  • Frame assembly first, completed before any decking goes down

  • Section-by-section installation, working from shore outward

  • Decking and railings installed last — the dock looks finished in the final hour

  • Site cleanup before crew leaves — we leave the property cleaner than we found it

  • Walkthrough with the homeowner if available

  • PE stamp documentation handed over with installation completion paperwork
